Terms of Service — Gatheris

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Gatheris ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including organisers, attendees, and visitors.

2. Description of Service

Gatheris is an event management platform that allows organisations to create and manage events, send invitations, process RSVPs, issue digital tickets, and track attendance. The core platform is provided free of charge. We also offer optional, paid Managed Setup services and per-job add-ons (such as additional revision rounds), purchased on a one-off basis as needed.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Violate any applicable law or regulation
Send unsolicited communications (spam)
Collect personal data without proper consent
Impersonate any person or organisation
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service

5. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. As an organiser, you are responsible for ensuring that your collection and use of attendee data complies with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Gatheris. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of any content you upload to the Service, including event descriptions, logos, and branding assets. By uploading content, you grant Gatheris a limited licence to display and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

7. Payments and Refunds

Paid services on Gatheris (Managed Setup and per-job add-ons such as additional revision rounds) are billed on a one-off basis at the time of purchase. Pricing for each paid service is shown before checkout. All fees are non-refundable once work has begun, except where required by law. We reserve the right to update pricing for new purchases at any time; existing purchases are honoured at the price you saw at checkout.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gatheris shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, Gatheris, or third parties. You may cancel your account at any time from your account settings.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece and the European Union. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece.
